CHILDE | Gig Guide (June 26)

There's a hell of a lot on this weekend. Particularly in the sore neck on Sunday department. So get out of the rain, get out of the cold, pack yourself into your local music venue like a penguin in a blizzard, and have your head blown off with some ripper live local music. Giddy up!

Drunk Mums w/ Dumb Punts, Sabire, Girl Germs, Smooch, Disco Junk, LVIV, Love Boner

An enormous line up for a fairly good cause. Drunk Mums are heading to the US of A and they need some extra coin. So, with the community spirit the Melbourne music scene is known for, they're throwing a massive gig with their mates and all you have to do is head along and pay your bit. Considering how much the Drunk Mums have done for the scene, it'd be rude not to go. Also, new super group SMOOCH are playing their first ever show, now that's something you won't want to miss. A glam-rock band compiled of members from Drunk Mums, Dumb Punts, MEAT and Mesa Cosa, they are the ultimate Melbourne band.... in glam-rock form. So rally the troops and get down there!

Saturday, June 29 @ The Tote, Melbourne

Radolescent w/ Boing Boing, Visas, Perve Endings

This is a deliciously garage-soaked line up hitting Byron Bay this Friday night. Gold Coast surf-punkers Radolescent are celebrating their new release and they're bringing half of Queensland with them. With a full album behind them now, we're excited to see the Radolescents lads bring it to life on the stage and turn things up. You're going to have to strap in cos party boys Boing Boing will be turning it on as well. Thankfully the ever-endearing and incredibly talented Perve Endings will be opening up the night to bring some god damn order to the place and will hopefully prevent the Northern green room turning into a shit show. PS Perve Endings will also be playing an intimate warm up set at our HQ earlier that afternoon, so that'll be a blast.

Friday, June 28 @ The Northern, Byron Bay

Honey Hayze w/ Kooks Hill, Holiday Basement

The Bondi roll on with their 'Afternoon' Single Tour this weekend hitting the home coal and Joey Johns. So Novocastrians, get out from under your blankies, crack a tin and head down to see a Summery set from beach-vibed Honey Hayze.

Saturday, July 29 @ Newcastle Hotel, Newcastle

Pist Idiots w/ 100 + The Buoys

The "Motor Runnin'" Tour kicked off last weekend in Melbourne and it looked absolutely off chops. This weekend the crew play a massive home show at the relatively new Crow Bar in Sydney and then roll through to the north for a show In Brizzy. Tying together three of the best current Sydney bands and chucking them on a stage together is a sight not to be missed. So head along and witness a sweaty piece of Sydney music history.

Friday, July 28 @ Crowbar, Sydney

Saturday, July 29 @ Brightside Bar, Brisbane

C.O.F.F.I.N w/ Dress Up, Ascot Stabber

The heaviest hitters in the south are coming north to grace and defile our stages this weekend. They're bringing along Ascot Stabber, a harsh, heavy and stabby (no pun in intended) newish ensemble that we are champing at the bit to see. There will also be a couple of cameos from Gold Coast sludge rock outfit Gee Tee as well as Lismore hardcore band Masochist. Should be a fun little run!

Thursday, July 27 @ Broom Factory, Lismore (Masochist)

Friday, July 28 @ Vinnies Dive Bar, Gold Coast (Gee Tee)

Saturday, July 19 @ Crow Bar, Brisbane (Gee Tee)
