We Wear AUSTRALIAN is an initiative born from a sense of commitment and connection to our community, to unite our fashion industry and in the process, support Australians in need with our partners @thread_together
Join us in supporting Australian brands, to support Australian communities #WeWearAustralian
#WeWearAustralian have partnered with non-for-profit Thread Together to donate $1 for every style sold.
Thread Together provides an ethical response to fashion excess.
One third of new clothing goes from factory to landfill, whilst one in eight adults and one in six children do not have adequate access to essential clothing.
Thread Together addresses this uncomfortable truth by saving new clothing from going to landfill and providing these clothes to people in need.
Childe Eyewear is honoured to have been selected as an Australian brand partner for the #WeWearAUSTRALIAN AAFW show and campaign this year.
The runway showcased over 50 iconic and emerging Australian designers. Influenced by confidence and individuality, the show embraced inclusivity, collaboration and reflection on Australian culture, our meaning of joy and a sense of discovery.

Much appreciation to the sponsors - Western Australia and Afterpay

#WeWearAustralian & CHILDE acknowledges the traditional owners of the land we showcased throughout this campaign, the Menang people of Kurrah Mia, and their surrounding communities. The Menang people's continuing custodianship of our land (Boodja), the water (kep) and the fire (kaarl)' is something we will now carry with us on our journey of learning. We pay our respects to their elders past, present and young, with particular thanks to Vernice Gilles who welcomed us to the land and shared the voice of her community.
