One of the finest from the West, the mighty, the outrageous, the rock'n'roll fuelled, The Southern River Band are bringing out a new single today as well as announcing a romper stomper tour through our great Southern land.
The single is titled Do You Miss Me? and is a stripped back, nostalgic slow burner. With hints of the first Jet album it feels like it can work both as a "leaving home" or a "coming home" song. Either way it begs to be played on the freeway as the sun is dropping, fingers tapping on the steering wheel as you belt out Alex's chorus "Do you miss me when I'm gone?". It's an instant hit and ticks all the boxes of a classic Aussie pub rock heart wrencher.
We flung a few questions off to main man Cal Kramer to get the lowdown
What can we expect with the new single, any new directions for The Southern River Band?
You've just announced a national tour in support of your forthcoming record 'Rumour & Innuendo', you must be stoked!
Abso-bloody-lutely! The record's coming out in September (God willin' and the creek don't rise) and we can't wait to get back out on the road and see some, well hopefully many, many smiling faces all over this beautiful big ol' country! Hopefully them smiling faces'll be running some top of the wazza Childe sunnies too, hey? I know we will be! See yas in October!
This is the second single off their upcoming album "Rumours and Innuendo". You can check out Do You Miss Me? here: https://spoti.fi/2ZvtbSp
It's a real treat when the lads head over East, and I think most SRB fans are still recovering from last time they tore through this side of the country, but they're on their way back real soon. Full tour dates below -
