THE PERSON
Ross Clarke-Jones is a pioneer of Australian big-wave surfing. After breaking onto the world stage in 1986, RCJ spent 12 years on the ASP World Tour before becoming the first Australian and non-Hawaiian to win the Eddie Aikau at Waimea Bay in 2001.
His life in big surf has also been captured on screen, starring in and producing iconic surf films including Mad Wax, The Sixth Element and Storm Surfers 3D, along with the Storm Surfers television series.
Decades later, Ross is still chasing serious swell around the world - a life built around the ocean, adventure and doing things his own way.
