CHILDE | Gig Guide May 29

G'day gig-enators. Welcome home to another episode of us telling you where to find the best live music this weekend. Boy, there's some goodies! Some particularly good tours kicking off this weekend too, so check back each week to find out when they're playing near you. Dig in.

The Oogars w/ Badlands

Winter is coming baby, and to bring some warmth and cheer, The Oogars will be playing a show at Mo's Desert Club House on the very first day of the season. They'll be joined by Byron Bay stoner-rockers Badlands. So rug up, get down there, and then get too sweaty for all the layers you just put on. Yeehaw!

Sunday, June 1st - Mo's Desert Clubhouse

White Dog w/ Perve Endings

White Dog are a no-bullshit, ear-splitting, ass-kicking, mosh-pitting punk outfit from Sydney. They've just put out an incredible EP, "Year Of The Pig"  that demands your instant and undivided attention. The fierceness of the album makes you wanna drop your dacks on the lawn of the Parliament house in some strange attempt to stick it to the god damn man. And in our current political position, that's exactly how we should be feeling. So, metaphorically moon ScoMo, head along to a White Dog show this weekend.

Thursday, May 30th - The Foundry, Brisbane

Friday, May 31st - Rad Bar, Wollongong

Saturday, June 1st - Vic On The Park, Sydney

The Chats w/ Crocodylus, The Buoys, Bullshirt

Uh-oh... The Chats are just about to burn down every venue in Australia. The young princes of Australian pub rock are hitting the road with Northern Beaches party boys Crocodylus, to bring you some of the finest beer drinking music this country has to offer! It's no secret The Chats lads have been killing it of late, they've got a shit-tonne of live shows under their belt since last time they toured at home, so I'd say it's fair to assume this will be their biggest, tightest and most raucous shows to date. First stop, Sydney, see you in the bar queue!

Friday, May 31st - Crowbar, Sydney

Goons of Doom

The kings of sing-alongs and spilling beer are hitting the end of the world this weekend. Tasmaniacs beware! Playing at Aquiva Surf festival in Tasmania, they'll be sure to warm things up for all. Lead trouble-maker Vaughan Deadly will also be running his live surf podcast "Ain't That Swell", so if you're into larrikins, it sounds like Hobart is the place to be this weekend.

Friday, May 21st - Aquiva Surf Festival, Tasmania

Enjoy folks, keep ya necks well lubricated and watch out for each other.
