Flicking through the news the past few weeks, I can't help but feel that maybe we don't live in "the lucky country". But god damn, when it comes to music we really can't help but feel blessed. We have some of the best music in the world right now, and this weekend you can go out and sample some of the creme of the crop. Here's some that we're looking forward to!
Skegss w/ Totty + Mini Skirt
One of Australia's most loved bands, Skegss, kick off their national tour this weekend in Fremantle. Dragging along South Coast legends Totty and Byron Bay punkers Mini Skirt, it's set to be quite a show. Skegss have been working their asses off touring relentlessly for the better part of the last five years, and it has well and truly paid off. This tour is set to be the biggest one so far, hitting some of the best venues this country has to offer. Dive in quick, not many tickets left!
Friday, June 21 @ Metropolis Theatre, Fremantle
Mini Skirt
Northern Rivers lads Mini Skirt, have scratched together a side show while they're over on the West coast. It's the first time they're gracing stages on that side of the country, so for anyone that'll miss the Skegss show at Metropolis Theatre, head down to Lucy's the night after for a more intimate and sweaty gig.
Saturday, June 22 @ Lucy's, Perth
Pist Idiots w/ 100 + The Buoys
The big boys from Revesby are kicking off their single tour this weekend too, with the first show in Melbourne. They're bringing along up and comers 100 as well as The Buoys who seem to be playing every show under the sun at the moment, we love it! Pist Idiots new single "Motor Runnin'" is a grunt-filled burner that goes best with a cold beer, or in the car with a bean in your hand. They've also blessed us with another ripper music video, check it out below.
Saturday, June 22 @ Stay Gold, Melbourne
Seaside w/ Towns + Sophie Ozard,
Byron Indie rockers Seaside have been making all sorts of noise recently, fresh off the back of a huge tour with Good Doogs, they've touched down at home and are gifting their local town with a free show at The Northern on Friday night. These guys always bring a tight and dynamic live show, and considering how many they've just played, I dare say their gig fitness will be at it's peak.
Friday, June 21 @ The Northern, Byron Bay
Crocodylus
Have these guys slept this year? They are having an absolute romper. Hot off a massive tour with The Chats, the lads are ramping up for a huge show at the Beach Road Hotel in Bondi this weekend. I don't know what they put in the water on the Northern Beaches, but I'd like a hit. You best head down to the gig, just to make sure the boys are ok. Maybe give em a cuddle, let them rest on your shoulder and don't be surprised if you catch them power napping backstage.
Saturday June 22 @ Beach Road Hotel, Bondi
