Bee Rizzi fights the good fight for the outrageously good times of truth, partying and ROCK and ROLL in West Oz. The WA music scene is clearly alive and kicking thanks to the rising powerhouse of Bee Rizzi and her Peggy Sue’s Agency that creates and presents live music events. 

Along with her musical friends and their creative ways Bee Rizzi & Peggy Sues Agency presents The Secret Santa 12 Bands of Christmas Party… & 5 Djs, at Mojos Bar Fremantle on December 20. 

Bee pulls strings to make things “happen” because according to the RIZ… apparently… its easy :)
Bee Rizzi helped us out when she pulled together our first Childe Live Lounge event back in April featuring Teischa, Paige Valentine and Peter Bibby.

Hello Bee Rizzi - Can you tell us about your Peggy Sue’s Agency
How did Peggy Sues Agency begin?
Hello World.
Peggy Sue’s started in London as the name of my first freelance hairdressing business. I had been djing for about 9 years at that point on and off too.

While I was living there back in 2008 I had the opportunity to Dj at Camden Lock alongside doing some hair styling for a fashion shoot in the same day… my brain started ticking over, the ideas came, and then they left for a very long time thinking it wasn’t possible. December 2017 we were back on the ideas train.

It took me about two years exactly to really sort out how I was going to combine the fashion, music, make up, hair, photography and arts industry and roll it all into a cute little package. August 2019, I finally got there. We had our opening night at The Local Hotel in South Freo, a 70s themed prom with two themed photo booths, and over 100 people. Happy girl.

What is the mission of Peggy Sues Agency?
GREAT MUSIC…
To have a good fucken time with good fucking people.

Zero ego. Respect. Equality. Diversity. Love… and to bring ALL people together in the best way possible. Great local, interstate and hopefully one day international artists along with their amazing talents to grace our stages and venues over Perth.

Despite the Covid 2020 year You’ve certainly been a busy little Bee this year. What are some of your highlights for 2020 and why has this been a great year for you?
Ummmmmm, fuck.
It hasn’t been the best and it hasn’t been the worst either.
I really do feel for those who have genuinely struggled with real life stuff though, I totally acknowledge that, and I feel EXTREMELY LUCKY to be living and working so comfortably over here in Perth, I just know how hard its been for everyone out there...so yeah, very very grateful.

It really hasn’t been just this year for me, I’ve been quietly working away at things for a very long time, and Its just happened that everything has come to fruition, throughout covid, this year? How? Beats me? its been so strange?

Ive been nominated for the 40 Under 40 business awards which has come as a big surprise, im suuuuuper stoked. You’d fucken wanna be after 23 years of Hairdressing 17 years of DJING and then everything else in-between. Just being nominated throughout this years shit storm has been enough to smack a smile on my dial. Its a-mazing.
Im a bit knackered tho.

What other events or bands would you like to plug in this interview?
Just want to say a big thank you to all of the other bands and artists that I had the pleasure of working with this year. Its been weird, but I’ve had a lot of fun.
And I hope 2021 opens new doors for everybody xox
